The common image that most people have or Mallorca is golden beaches and fantastic nightlife. While it has plenty to offer adults after a great meal and clear seas to sunbathe by, Mallorca does have plenty to do for kids and families!

Castles
Young children often find nothing more fun than exploring a castle and playing in a unique environment. Belver Castle
This castle is in the Palma and it is surprisingly lesser-known. Despite its small reputation, it is actually the oldest castle in Europe! With so much of it still standing families in Mallorca will enjoy many trips to this historical remnant.
Caldera Castle
This castle is located on a mount on an island. With such a great height, there is a lovely view for adults to take in while kids explore what’s left of this ancient stronghold. Even older children will enjoy the breath-taking view across the island that you get from this castle, as long as you can stomach the climb up there.
Alaro Castle
This is one of the rocky castles located on the island alongside the Castell del Santuari and the Castel del Rei. Between these three you can get a great outlook of how Mallorca was defended. Each of them is worth a visit and will be a fun day out.

Museums and Days Out for Families
Kids can even get a little education while they’re in Mallorca, with many different places to visit available. The highlights include the Ses Fonts Ufanes, Finca Publica Galatzo Calva, and the Puig de Maria.
The Pulig de Maria dates back to 1368. It is one of the biggest Majorcan monasteries. Kids might be particularly entertained to know that it was home to the children of nobility in this period. The Ses Fonts is one of the bigger places to see, it is a natural monument. Heading out to it is a great chance to get some exercise and see some of the natural beauty of the island.
Jungle Park is a modern activity centre that will entertain anyone from the age of four up. With active trials in a jungle theme, it’ll get your kids some well-needed exercise while you take a break.
