HeroRATs can clear 200 square meters in 90 minutes; the same area would take eight-hours for two manual deminers. A rat can screen 40 samples for tuberculosis in seven minutes, while a lab technician could accomplish the same task in one full day. HeroRATs are a local, cost-effective and efficient solution to major health and safety issues facing today’s developing world.
For 6,000 Euros (quarter of the cost of a demining dog) your company can be a part of this important and much-needed work. Your sponsorship will support every aspect of the HeroRAT’s training: food, veterinary check-ups, trainer’s salary, overhead on training rooms, etc. Coverage of these costs allows us to devote more funds to our programs in demining and tuberculosis detection.
