APOPO was nominated and accepted into the 'Phoenix 50 List' by Volans and SustainAbility networks. The 'Phoenix 50 List' highlights enterprises, corporations and government agencies making significant contributions toward building more equitable, more sustainable global economy.

APOPO and the other named organizations will be officially presented at the Skoll World Forum 2009. Then APOO will be highlighted on the Volans website to showcase successful social ventures.

Apopo is happy to announce it is the recipient of a three-year, $1,000,000 award from the Skoll Foundation to further sustainable growth of the APOPO organization and its activities in Africa. The Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship is presented by the Skoll Foundation to recognize the most innovative and sustainable approaches to resolving the most urgent social issues.
